On April 2, 2014, World Autism Day, the performance art “No Talking Today” was created and initiated by artist Forest Young for the One Foundation, calling on Chinese people to wear blue special masks with the words “No Talking Today” printed on them on April 2 and speak up for the autism community in a silent manner. As a result, over 1.6 million Chinese people joined the silent movement, including celebrities such as Jet Li, Jack Ma, Wu Jing, Zhao Wei, Zhang Liangying, Li Bingbing, Xu Zheng, Sa Beining, and Lin Zhiying. With a total of over 600 news reports and coverage of nearly 200 million people, it is one of the largest social participatory performance art projects in China.
