On November 23, 2014, artist Forest Young invited over 100 young artists to participate in the performance art “No Talking Today” during the Shanghai Biennale, criticizing contemporary art for becoming increasingly detached from society and becoming an art form that few people can justify. Art youths sit quietly in thousands of art magazines, wearing large masks with the words “No Talking Today” printed on them, expressing their opposition to Chinese art in a silent manner, hoping to make art "quiet".
