To commemorate the pandemic of the past three years, on June 18, 2023, artist Forest Young threw hundreds of blue masks with the words “No Talking Today” into cement sand and stirred them repeatedly, allowing the two to fully blend and permanently solidify together. Then, blue acrylic paint was mixed in, ultimately forming three abstract and chaotic cement acrylic paintings. These three paintings are placed on top of three black boxes, like three silent monuments, standing silently, solemn, and ferocious.
