On March 30, 2025, at Beijing’s 798 Art District, artist Yexin Yang crafted 1,000 grains of golden rice from 500 grams of pure gold and scattered them amidst ordinary rice and grains spread across the exhibition hall, inviting the audience to freely “pan for golden grains.” Golden Grains Rush transcends a mere performance art piece—it is an immersive meditation on labor, wealth, value distribution, and social competition, offering a visual critique of neo-capitalist theory.
