In 2024, the number of floods in the north and south of China far exceeds previous years, but social assistance actions are far lower than in previous years. For this purpose, Shanghai artist Forest Young created a magnificent oil painting installation called The Traces I Left Behind in This World Series 4 by assembling hundreds of shoe soles from disaster stricken people in various places. The soles of disaster victims' shoes in different colors, sizes, and styles are pieced together and squeezed into a canvas, colorful and shocking, telling the audience different stories of the disaster area.
